This is Stefanik Brodak, father of Anny Brodak-Schwabik. He married Anna Kasimir Jan 19, 1884 in Iglo (Spisske Nova Ves.) Stefan lived at Iglo 38. Anna was 19 years old. We don't know much about him- he could have been a sportsman of some kind, perhaps a boxer or strongman. He wears a medal pinned to this shirt. This photograph was made in New York, so he must have been in th e USA at least for a short time, perhaps for his daughters marriage? We can find no other records of him.

This is a photograph documenting the wedding of Irma Schwabik (sister of Joseph-1885) and Henry Smith. According to Irma's daughter Ethel Deluca, it was a "match marriage" made by a man named Julius Matteyas.

We believe this to be Margareta Anna Schwabik, sister of Joseph (1885) born in 1886. We recently obtained this photograph through a relative by marriage of Irma Schwabik, Joseph's sister.

We believe this to be a portrait of Joseph Schwabik Sr. Note that this was cut from another photograph-there appears to be a person he is holding hands with- we don't know if it was his second wife? This photo came from Louise-May-Schwabik Stillwell's collection.

This is Joseph A Schwabik, the founder of our Schwabik clan in America. This photo was taken in 1906. He was born in Iglo (Spisske Nova Ves) March 17, 1885.
